What is uMessenger?

🧑‍💻uMessenger is the messenger of the Utopia ecosystem, protected by end-to-end encryption and providing secure and untraceable communication between members of the Utopia community.

🛠The basic functionality of uMessenger is similar to other popular Internet messengers: you can send text and voice messages, create channels (like channels in Telegram), create group chats and share files. Accordingly, the user interface is also almost identical to the messengers you are familiar with. All the fun in uMessenger is happening “behind the scenes”.

🛡All messages are protected by end-to-end 256-bit encryption. And we mean “all messages” — unlike most messengers, even voice message files are encrypted. And given that the voice in the message can also be altered — the anonimity of voice communication is guaranteed. By the way, 256-bit encryption means that even the FBI will not be able to read your correspondence. In order to crack such an encryption in a reasonable time, access to the keys is required.

👁And it is impossible to access the keys even in theory. Utopia simply doesn’t have a central server where these keys can be stored or generated — the entire ecosystem, including uMessenger, is completely decentralized. That is, there is simply no one to bribe, intimidate, or blackmail — a person (or even a device) that could give up your encryption keys does not exist.

🗄And this applies not only to messages, but also to files exchanged by users — all files are stored in Encrypted Containers on your computers.
